Principals Letter June 18th, 2021

June 18, 2021

Greetings,

Happy Juneteenth!  This weekend we celebrate not only Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday but also Father’s Day.  A happy healthy weekend to all!

Next week is the last week of school and we have already had a week of celebrations.  As we approach summer, it is important to pause and recognize the incredible circumstances of this past year.  Some families have rearranged child care multiple times, become teachers of their own children, cared for the sick family members, worked full time, and supported neighbors and friends, engaged in courageous conversations around race and equity in our community, all while staying safe during a pandemic. As I take time to reflect on this past year, I am inspired by your resilience and persistence.  Have a wonderful summer and stay safe!

Saludos,
