Principals Letter June 10th, 2022

June 10, 2022

Greetings,

All New York City public school families, regardless of income, will receive $375 per child in food benefits to help cover the costs of meals from last summer during the pandemic —whether they attended summer school or not. The state began the rollout this month, with the retroactive benefit being distributed to students enrolled as of June 2021. You can find out more here.  If you do not intend to use the funds, please consider donating food to the PS 20 food pantry.  You can order food and have it sent directly to the school.

Don’t forget to join the PTA next week for elections & their annual budget meeting, which includes a vote.  Last meeting of the year is always the most important.  Wednesday, June 15th at 5:30pm for elections & 6:15 for the general meeting.

Reminder:

  • Consider running for the PTA board to support the continuation of this work!
  • Don’t forget to add us to your Amazon account using Amazon Smile.  By adding Ps20M PTA Inc. as your charity, you automatically raise money for PS 20 with every personal Amazon purchase.  Use this link to connect PS 20 to your account.

Saludos,
