Greetings,
As this school year comes to an end, it is time to reflect on all that we have accomplished as a community. The beginning of the year brought long lines at arrival with confusion around masks, vaccines, and health screenings. Our students ate in their classrooms, never mixed cohorts, and oftentimes experienced substitutes due to staffing shortages. We spent part of the winter going remote and then starting over again.
With that said, we have spent the last few months enjoying art performances, cross grade and program activities, and bringing families back into the building. We have come so far because we came together as a community during a time when division was the norm.
Thank you for all that you’ve done to support PS 20 this year. We hope you have a safe & healthy summer!

A medida que este año escolar llega a su fin, es hora de reflexionar sobre todo lo que hemos logrado como comunidad. El comienzo del año trajo largas filas a la llegada con confusión sobre máscaras, vacunas y exámenes de salud. Nuestros estudiantes comieron en sus aulas, nunca mezclaron cohortes y, a menudo, experimentaron sustitutos debido a la escasez de personal. Pasamos parte del invierno yendo a distancia y luego comenzando de nuevo.
Dicho esto, hemos pasado los últimos meses disfrutando de representaciones artísticas, actividades de programas y grados cruzados, y trayendo familias de regreso al edificio. Hemos llegado tan lejos porque nos unimos como comunidad en un momento en que la división era la norma.

随着本学年即将结束，是时候反思我们作为一个社区所取得的一切成就了。今年年初，人们对口罩、疫苗和健康检查感到困惑，人们排起了长队。我们的学生在教室里吃饭，从不混同群，而且由于人员短缺，经常会遇到代课老师。我们花了一部分冬天去上远程课，然后重新开始。
话虽如此，过去几个月我们一直在享受艺术表演、跨年级项目活动，并将家人带回大楼。我们之所以能走到今天，是因为在分裂成为常态的时代，我们作为一个社区走在一起。
