Principals Letter December 16th, 2021

December 16, 2021

Greetings,

Winter wishes is a program we have hosted for years.  In September, we have students reflect on how they can “pay it forward” by being kind to others without expecting anything back.  Winter wishes is a program that pairs corporate donors to students, gifting them with a present for the winter break.  Our students will be receiving these gifts on Friday at the end of the day.  Please speak with your child (ren) about the importance of giving back to others in small ways; holding the door, saying good morning, helping a friend, or cleaning their room.  This past week students have taken time to reflect on kindness in our building.  Our student council has also begun working on a project to support children affected in the Kentucky tornadoes.  They are partnering with the American Red Cross through the PillowCase Project.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Dec. 21st -School Tour for current families @ 9am
  • Dec. 17th -Winter Wishes go home
  • Dec. 23rd -Family Friday (Thursday)
  • Dec. 24th-Jan. 2nd -Winter Break (No School)
  • Jan. 3rd -School reopens

Reminders:

  • This month I will host in person school tours for current families to  see our school building and learn about different activities happening around the building.  If you are interested in attending one of our upcoming tours, fill out this survey.

Saludos,
