Principals Letter March 25th, 2022

March 25, 2022

Greetings,

It was great to see so many families at PS 20 this Friday.  You are all a crucial part of our community and have been missed. We have more in person events scheduled as the weather gets warmer.  The Hero Summit will be April 29th.  It is a time for students to reflect on their real life heroes and share their stories.  This is an annual event that recognizes family members, staff, and most importantly student heros. In addition, we have our Annual Spring Clean Up scheduled for Saturday April 30th.  Save the date and help beautify our community.  This includes planting in our gardens, painting our rainbow fence, painting the benches in ABC playground, and other activities.

Lastly,  we are  aware of the uptick in COVID cases in the nation and have been diligent in monitoring new cases and guidance.  Masking is still highly recommended for all students, especially those that are not vaccinated.  As data shifts around positivity rates in the city, our school routines (i.e. lunch, cross classroom exposure, masking expectations) will change as well.  We will make sure to message any changes to our community as soon as possible.

Saludos,
