Principals Letter February 26th, 2021

February 26, 2021

Greetings,

March brings with it warmer weather and a second family teacher conference.  Teachers will be reaching out to set up a time to talk about your child’s progress.  As in the fall, we will set up a time over the next 2 weeks to speak with families.  March 4th is a ½  for in person students and ½ day asynchronous for remote students to give teachers planning time.  March 5th will be asynchronous for remote students so that teachers can meet with families throughout the day.  In person students can still come to school on Friday March 5th, however they may have a substitute teacher during the day.

Upcoming Dates:

  • February 26th – PTA Meeting (Zoom Link, Meeting ID: 849 2725 5653)
  • March 1 -District Virtual Elementary Fair 3K/Pre K

Reminders:

  • Henry Street has started a Loss and Bereavement Group which begins the week of April 5th. This is a 10 week group specializing in helping children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Over the course of our 10 weeks they will work together to decrease senses of isolation, develop a language of grief and reduce the behavioral and emotional symptoms that commonly occur after a death. Saludos,
