Greetings,
Over the past year, there has been an increase in hate crimes towards members of our Asian community throughout our country and in New York City. As our President said last week regarding this violence, “It’s wrong. It’s un-American. And it must stop.” As a school, we have worked for years to demonstrate that multiple races and cultures can and must coexist, learning from each other’s differences. We stand in solidarity with our Asian community and will continue to teach our students that our differences are what makes us strong.

- The 3-K application for the 2021– 2022 school year is also open, and the deadline to apply is April 30, 2021. All New York City families with children born in 2018 can apply. Learn more at schools.nyc.gov/3K
- Henry Street has started a Loss and Bereavement Group which begins the week of April 5th. This is a 10 week group specializing in helping children who have experienced the death of a loved one. Use this link to sign up.

Durante el año pasado, ha habido un aumento en los crímenes de odio hacia miembros de nuestra comunidad asiática en todo nuestro país y en la ciudad de Nueva York. Como dijo nuestro presidente la semana pasada con respecto a esta violencia, “está mal. No es estadounidense. Y debe detenerse “.
