Principals Letter November 19th, 2021

November 19, 2021

Greetings,

Our morning program is up and running.  This past week, many students have come each day at 7:30am to get additional targeted academic support in literacy.  We have also begun to invite students after school on Wed, Thur, and Friday from 3-4pm for academic support.  Over 30% of our students also receive targeted support during the school day.  All this is made possible by additional funding the school has received from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).  PS 20 is also utilizing these funds to hire a full time social worker to support community members.  We are currently interviewing candidates.

Our school community is working diligently to support our students in making substantial progress in response to the loss of instruction during the pandemic.  If you have concerns or questions, please reach out to Carrie Orr, Corr2@schools.nyc.gov

 Saludos,
